Associate Professor Sue Berney is the Manger of Physiotherapy at Austin Health in Melbourne. She has worked in ICU for over 30 years both in Australia and internationally. Sue has both extensive clinical and research experience and been an invited speaker at conferences about the role of physiotherapy in intensive care both nationally and internationally. She has been awarded two Research Fellowships and three nationally competitive grants as a chief investigator.
Her current research interests include the role of exercise and rehabilitation in the critical care setting and the functional, cognitive and psychological outcomes of survivors of ICU and decision support to translate evidence into practice.
