Michele Bayly-Jones

Michele Bayly-Jones has worked as the Manager of the South Australian State Coroner’s Office since 2000 and is responsible for the administrative, registry and court functions of the SA Coroner’s Court.  She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the human resource and financial functions of the court and registry as well as the coordination of strategic planning, policy development and liaison with other departments and agencies.

Michele has been involved in the Coronial investigations into all major fatality events in South Australia over the past 18 years, such as multiple fatality events, the Inquest into Petrol Sniffing deaths, Bali bombing and Tsunami body repatriations, and the Wangary Bushfires Inquest.

Michele has worked closely with DonateLife SA for many years when arranging coronial consent for the donation of organs involving deaths that are reportable to the Coroner.
