Dr Sarfaraz Rahiman is currently working as a consultant paediatric intensivist at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland. Hailing from India and finishing his early training there, Sarfaraz pursued further training in United Kingdom (Great Ormond street Hospital, London). He has since finished his Australian intensive care training in Melbourne (Royal Children’s Hospital and Monash Health).
His focus in clinical practice involves paediatric cardiology and cardiac intensive care. Sarfaraz has a keen interest in developing bedside echocardiography and long-term follow-up of cardiac intensive care patients. His research interests include extracorporeal life support outcomes and his currently published work features in Australian and international intensive care journals.
