Nursing Prizes

 

Eligibility for nursing prizes


1) Best Nursing Presentation

The Best Nursing Presentation is awarded to the Best Nursing Paper at the ANZICS/ACCCN Intensive Care ASM. Verbal or poster/oral presentations only, presented during the adult component of the conference, will be considered for this prize. The main author must be a nurse, a member of ACCCN and present the paper. The winner receives $2500 kindly donated by Eli Lilly.

2) Best Nursing Poster Prize

May be awarded to the author of a paper presented as a poster. The main author must be a nurse and a member of ACCCN. The paper may be of adult, paediatric or neonatal interest. The winner receives $1500 kindly donated by the Australian Catholic University.


3) Nursing Scholarship Prize

Awarded for the best free paper based on research completed as a component of a Masters or PhD. The main author of the paper must be a nurse, a member of ACCCN and present the paper. The paper may be of adult, paediatric or neonatal interest. The paper must be presented as a free paper (10-minute oral presentation followed by 5 minutes for discussion). The winner receives $2500 donated by Covidien.


4) Best Nursing Review Paper

Awarded for the best judged literature review of an aspect of critical care nursing practice. The ACCCN Board coordinates judging of submission for the Best Nursing Review Paper prior to the ASM according to guidelines developed by the ACCCN Board. The winner will be notified in time to take advantage of early bird registration. The winner receives $2500 donated by TBA.

5) Best Paediatric or Neonatal Nursing Paper

Verbal or poster/oral presentations only will be considered. The main author must be a nurse, a member of ACCCN and present the paper. The paper must be presented as a free paper (10-minute oral presentation followed by 5 minutes for discussion). The winner receives $2500 donated by Mayo Healthcare.
